About Wendy Davis:
Wendy recently completed seven seasons (117 episodes) on Lifetime Television’s hit series “Army Wives”. During that time she was nominated for three Image Awards and a Spirit Award for her honest portrayal as Col. Joan Burton. While working on “ Army Wives”, Wendy recurred on “Scandal” for five episodes in 2012 during her hiatus. Since “Army Wives” Wendy has recently guest starred on “Castle” and “Criminal Minds”.
She has many other TV and film credits, some of the highlights are her series regular role on ABC’s “High Incident”, produced by DreamWorks SKG. Of the pilot episode “The Hollywood Reporter” wrote, “The large and strikingly good cast all make outstanding first impressions, and Wendy Davis is magnificent as a cop’s widow”. Wendy was also cast as a series regular on “EZ Street”, a one-hour drama produced by Paul Haggis, Academy Award winning writer/director of “Crash”. Wendy is passionate about contributing to fellow actors. Before relocating to South Carolina to shoot “Army Wives”, She owned and operated The Los Angeles Actors Center for several years. While on location Wendy taught an acting class to a group of highly motivated local actors on the Army Wives lot. Several of them have since relocated to New York or LA and are working as professional actors.
“Helping fellow actors reach their professional career goals is important to me. I know what the current industry challenges are first hand so there is nothing theoretical about what I teach. My work as an instructor is based on techniques that get results.”
